Asphalt Repair + Maintenance

We also offer specialized services for asphalt repair and maintenance:

Patching

Your pavement may be structurally sound overall, but if there is severe cracking in some areas, it’s time for repair. Typically, settling water may be the culprit, but there are many other factors could cause isolated cracking. You have two options; full depth patching, or skin patching. If the problem lies within the subgrade, the asphalt must be completely removed and new asphalt installed. If needed, new aggregate base course will be placed to help support the new asphalt.

But if the deterioration process is in the early stages, the asphalt may be treated with a skin patch. During this process, our crews apply a thin layer of tack oil to help the new asphalt adhere to the existing pavement. A roller applied and the edges blended to create a smooth surface.

Trench Repair

Utility installation, removal, and replacement calls for this type of service. Our crews are able to be on site quickly to saw cut the area and remove the existing asphalt, and we are able to repair asphalt that is already cut. We understand the inherent urgency that exists with utility work, and our crews are always timely in responding. We have worked with many municipalities over the years and have developed the relationships it takes to get the job done quickly.

Milling

After years of use and maintenance treatment, asphalt can become uneven which can affect motorists and water flow. Whether you choose to remove and replace the asphalt or an asphalt overlay, milling is used as a preparatory process to make the surface even. Our crews use specialized machines to grind the asphalt to the desired depth, and the leftover asphalt (millings) are then hauled away.
